Rango, Our New Ranchilio.

Are you wondering what Rango the Ranchilio is?  Here are some helpful hints:  he's made of stainless steel, pulls smooth and creamy shots, steams a wicked cup of milk and keeps our mugs warm.  You guessed it, Rango is our brand, spankin' new espresso machine!  (Maybe you're really keen and also noticed the photo.)  Rancilio is the brand.  Rango has been in house for a couple of days and we're still getting comfortable with him.  Dang, this machine is wildly slick and sleek.

We are so grateful for everyone's support in Java Dock Cafe's venture.  At the essense of things our ability to purchase a new machine is in part because of  you!  Gratitude abounds; many thanks to our lovely and loyal customers.

The new machine, Rango, is a semi-automatic espresso maker.  This means that the barista is in charge of "crafting" the shots and the milk.  We take pride in knowing the weight, amount of pressure, and timing involved in pouring a drink.  Our old machine allowed us to make good drinks, but Rango's modern design will create consistancy and accuracy.  The new machine is somewhat akin to a new car.  It's smoother and idiosyncracies are non-existant which gives us more room to hone our skill.  Rango will allow us to thrive in the craft of making espresso and steaming milk.  Progress!  Thanks again for helping the forward momentum of our little cafe.
