Howard THE Embedded Reporter, Smooth Talker and our Resident Musician

Howard, "Howie" to me, "Ho" to most, is another of our favorite pieces of fabric creating the quilt of Java Dock. He is a quiet, magical, thoughtful, and intense guy who will lend you an ear or a dollar, depending on what he thinks you need more.

Ho prefers to drink a cocktail of decaf and dark roast, doused liberally with half-and-half, from his lovingly-named cup, "Big Red." He drinks his coffee with a scone and provides 'scone reports' so we can continue serving the best scones west of the U.K.

Music has taken Ho across the globe, so he knows a good scone when he tastes. Over the years, Howie has serenaded almost every room in the shop. He's known to sit on the bench out front during summer, sipping coffee, and strumming one of his beloved guitars. You may also spot him playing music in Rotary Park which is where I met him for the first time. If you have the chance, I urge you to seize the opportunity to meet this human being. He's a rare bird.
